We started Sprucing up the woods behind the picnic area in the south end of Lincoln Park by Shelter #2 last week and got a lot done, mainly uncovering native plants and pulling holly trees that had taken over planting beds and had become totally overgrown in honeysuckle vines.
There’s also lots of micro litter to pick up, including foil discs and confetti that Mary was working on the past several weeks.
Park in either of the Lincoln Park parking lots and make your way down Picnic Area 2 where the covered shelter and picnic tables are behind the kid’s big toys and the dragon sculpture.
