We continued Sprucing up the picnic area in the south end of Lincoln Park by Shelter #2 last week and got a lot done. We’re slowly but surely moving out of the picnic area and back out towards the trails and natural areas where we’ll continue cleaning the overgrown planting areas and uncovering native plants.
There’s also lots of micro litter to pick up, including foil discs and confetti that Mary was working on last week.
Park in either of the Lincoln Park parking lots and make your way down Picnic Area 2 where the covered shelter and picnic tables are behind the kid’s big toys and the dragon sculpture.
