We’ll do an initial cleanup of the Walking on Logs sculpture area coming up the hill from the WS Bridge.
This will be a coordinated cleanup effort with the West Seattle Chamber of Commerce and Devonshire Landscapes in a first pass on creating a cleaner, more open area around the soon-to-be updated sculptures and meadow area.
The first pass will involve some weed whacking, pruning and Sprucing work taking out invasives and we’ll scout it for future suggestions as well. There’s also quite a bit of garbage along the curb line. This may turn into a seasonal series where we’ll work to beautify this initial impression rolling into West Seattle.
Parking & Meet-Up
The trick to this spot is we’ll need to drive eastbound and turn around on 1st or 4th Ave to get back onto the bridge at the 1st Ave entrance heading westbound. When you take the curve heading left up the hill towards 35th Ave, pull into the turnoff on the right side of the road. If we could find a group volunteer to act as designated driver that is open to doing a couple loops, this would keep the car numbers down at the job site.
