We’ll do an initial cleanup and scouting of the Walking on Logs sculpture area coming up the hill from the WS Bridge. This will be a coordinated cleanup with input from the WS Chamber of Commerce who oversees its maintenance, and the Rotary Club of West Seattle that has an interest in its upkeep. The first pass will involve weed whacking, lawn mowing, pruning and Sprucing work and we’ll scout it for future suggestions as well. There’s also quite a bit of garbage along the curb line. This may turn into a seasonal series where we’ll work to beautify this initial impression rolling into West Seattle.
Parking & Meet-Up
The trick to this spot is you’ll need to drive eastbound and turn around on 1st or 4th Ave to get back onto the bridge at the 1st Ave entrance heading westbound. When you take the curve heading left up the hill towards 35th Ave, pull into the turnoff on the right side of the road, if we pull in sort of diagonally and all the way up to the curb then we should be able to accommodate quite a few cars. I’ll pull in at the very top of the pull out and you can turn in and park next to me one by one.
