We'll head off the peninsula for a collaborative cleanup with the folks from Black Diamond in Fremont. This will be a Sprucing event along the Ship Canal Trail on the west side (under) the Fremont Bridge. We’ll help clear foliage off the trail and retaining wall, and open up some beautiful natives along the hillside. Trash picking will also be on tap.

We’ll have cones out and be wearing hi-vis as we’ll be working along the path and putting cut material off to the opposite side of the trail we’ll be working, so safety will be our number one mission.

I’m hopeful this will be one of many collaborative efforts over the coming years as we start building other teams to tap into around town.

Parking & Meet-Up
We’ll be parking on the street level which is up above the trail. The closest business to where we’ll be working is the Seattle Elks Lodge #92, though parking along Nickerson and walking in may be the best bet.
