Group friend Lee, who runs the Heron's Nest and R.A.P.P. (River Access Paddle Program), has a new project down in Renton. The property will be turned into a child-centered, Indigenous/BIPOC-led, land-based education and cultural center. Prior to taking ownership, the land was a frequent hotspot for camps, so there is quite a bit of material to gather around the perimeter. We’ll swing out twice this week in an effort to start to dig in and get our bearings around future work.
