Last week we started Sprucing up the overgrown picnic area down behind the kid’s toys in the south end of the park by Shelter #2. We’ll continue with that work—cleaning the overgrown planting areas and uncovering native plants. There is plenty to work on here and will likely take several visits to get it in a good spot heading into Spring.
A bonus this week—Melody, a friend of ACA wants to bring us lunch after the cleanup, so please stay after for some sandwiches that she has graciously offered to bring us. Thanks Melody!
Park in either of the Lincoln Park parking lots and make your way down Picnic Area 2 where the covered shelter and picnic tables are behind the kid’s big toys and the dragon sculpture.
