My neighbors and I will be doing a cleanup in the College St, Ravine on National Trails Day.
This is a lovely little greenspace between neighborhoods that could use some invasive species removal and wood chip spreading along the trail. I figured if we could get some ACA regulars we could get into some of the heavier lifts of blackberry and ivy removal.
We’ll likely be working from both ends of trail, I’ll note the end on 51st in the map as that side will likely have the most parking along the hill and in the neighborhoods at the top along Grayson street. Just park and then walk down into the park. Nettles will likely be at their peak come June, so I’d recommend wearing pants and long sleeves, tho I’ll try to get in early and knock them down in areas we’ll be working.
